Work experience for school students

Dear students,

The Hessian Ministry of Education and Cultural Affairs has decided that no work experience placements will be allowed in companies until the easter holidays in 2021.

We will inform you as soon as there are any changes.

"Girls' Day" and work experience

We are delighted to give students the opportunity to see business operations first hand. We regularly take part in "Girls' Day", when we invite girl students from 5th to 10th year to participate in a one-day work placement to get an idea of what's going on in occupations that are typically male dominated. The day entails a company tour and hands-on experiences, for example in the training workshop.

Work experience for school students

We provide work placements for school students typically in industrial/technical areas. The students will gain detailed insights into the corresponding profession as well as hands-on experiences when producing their own workpiece.

Apply today!

We are looking forward to hearing from you, and we'll need the following documentation to process your application:

  • Short cover letter stating your desired period of time and area of work (occupation)
  • Short CV
  • To provide work placements to school students we also need an application from your school. Many schools have a work placement form that you can complete and send us.

We are looking forward to receiving your application!

Entry qualification

A long-term work placement with development opportunities

If you haven't found a space for an apprenticeship/internship by autumn of a qualifying year, you might want to take a look at the following offer. Upon fulfilment of certain requirements you could start a state-funded long-term work placement with us. If you are a hands-on person, this could be your chance to shine!

From work experience to internship

During your work placement you are already working in your desired vocational training profession and you're attending the relevant VEC courses. Good performance might give you the opportunity to be taken on as an intern, with up to 6 months of your work placement counting towards your overall requirements. The work placement ends when the next training year begins.

Apply today!

We are looking forward to hearing from you. As this type of work placement is partially funded by the German Employment Agency (Agentur für Arbeit), please enquire with your local contact if this program is an option for you. A long-term work placement even comes with a small monthly salary! We'll need the following documentation to process your application:

  • Cover letter
  • State your desired vocational training profession
  • CV
  • Last three school reports
  • Other certifications (work placements, computer training, etc.)

We are looking forward to receiving your application!
